Southampton sign Croatia World Cup star Orsic to help their survival efforts

World Cup bronze medalist, Mislav Orsic signs for Southampton from Dinamo Zagreb.

The Saints have been struggling to keep out of the relegation battle but in order to boost their chances of staying up they have signed winger

Mislav Orsic

from Dinamo Zagreb.

Orsic was one of Croatia’s standout players in the World Cup as he made 6 appearances for Zlatko Dalic’s side in their run to achieve the bronze medal at the World Cup.

Orsic signs for Southampton for a measly some of £6million plus add-ons on a two-and-a-half-year-deal. The 30-year-old was also linked with Everton and Nottingham Forest before joining Southampton.

Southampton

is currently 3 points away from the safe zone, sitting at the bottom of the league table as Ralph Hasenhuttl’s replacement Nathan Jones has already lost his first four Premier League matches.

Jones will be hoping that Orsic can somehow better their dire attacking performances as they are in desperate need of goals and attacking reinforcements.
