Barcelona set to miss on their next Brazilian target
Barcelona intends to follow Real Madrid's exploration of South America's next generation. However, they failed to do so as they reportedly missed on a pair of their main targets, Endrick Felipe and Angelo Gabriel.
The Blaugrana has been monitoring Palmeiras' wonderkid,
Endrick Felipe
, however, Real Madrid and other teams jumped ahead of
Barcelona
in the race as soon as the finances were discussed.
Barcelona then moved their attention toward Santos' striker,
Angelo Gabriel
. Making his debut when he was just 15, Gabriel holds the record for being the club's youngest player as well as their youngest goalscorer in the Copa Libertadores.
However, according to
Fichajes, the Catalan giants are set to miss on Gabriel as Milan is ready to offer €20m to Santos, a sum Barcelona is unlikely to match this window.
Barcelona drew with Espanyol 1-1 on their return to action in La Liga in a match that had a player sent off from each team. Despite having Lewandowski back up front, Barca failed to capitalize on their chance to top La Liga with 2 points clear off of Real Madrid
