Mbappe returns to PSG training three days after World Cup final defeat

Despite scoring a hat-trick in the World Cup final, the PSG striker couldn't help his side beat Argentina in the penalty shoot-out. Mbappe reportedly returned to Paris Saint-Germain's training on Wednesday.

defend their Russia 2018 title.

However, despite becoming the second man to net a World Cup final hat-trick, he had to hand the trophy to his club teammate Lionel Messi after a 4-2 defeat in the penalties.

The French striker has returned to

Paris Saint-Germain

training three days after their defeat on Wednesday in preparation for PSG's return to competitive action next week against Strasbourg.

Scoring 8 goals for France, Mbappe won the World Cup's Golden Boot while Messi was named the Player of the Tournament.

Mbappe's younger brother, Ethan was involved in PSG's first team through the mid-season break for World Cup, making an appearance for the club against Quevilly-Rouen.
