Barcelona and two Premier League clubs interested in Celtic's Josip Juranovic
Barcelona is interested in the signing of Celtic defender Josip Juranovic in the January transfer window.
According to Sky Sports, Josip Juranovic is Barcelona’s number one target for the right-back position and they are ready to sign him in the January transfer window.
Sky Sports claims that two Premier League clubs and
Atletico Madridare also interested in the Croatian defender.
The 27-year-old
Juranovicis under contract with Celtic until 2026. Celtic wanted to increase his wage before the World Cup but they failed to reach an agreement. Sky reports that Celtic plan to talk to him again in January but they also expect to receive offers for him from other clubs.
Hector Bellerin, who joined the club from Arsenal, and Jules Kounde, have played in the right-back position for
Barcelonafollowing their summer arrivals but Xavi still wants to find a long-term solution for that position.
Juranovic signed for Scottish Premiership side Celtic in 2021 from Legia Warsaw. He has scored 6 goals in 50 matches for Celtic and won the Scottish Premiership and Scottish League Cup last season.
He was selected in Croatia's 26-man squad for the 2022 World Cup and helped the team to finish in third place with his impressive displays in Qatar.
