Lewandowski claims there are no bad blood between him and Messi

Robert Lewandowski says that despite finishing second to Messi in the 2021 Ballon d’Or standings, there are no hard feelings between the two.

As Argentina and Poland get ready for the upcoming World Cup, Poland’s talisman Robert Lewandowski speaks out about his feelings after last year’s Ballon d’Or snub.

Messi might’ve won the prize in 2021 but in his acceptance speech, the Argentine called for 2020 Ballon d’Or to be given to Lewandowski despite that year’s Ballon d’Or not being awarded to anyone due to COVID-19.

in their last group stage match and when asked about the bad blood between him and Messi, Lewandowski was perplexed as he thinks that everything is fine between the two of them.  

"Why not? Why would I need to shake hands? Between me and Messi, everything is fine. I have nothing [bad] with him, I never had.”

Lewandowsi said.

"Leo Messi is in great shape. At Barcelona, you can see everywhere he's a legend."

’s most impactful player in the 2022 World Cup qualification stage as he was directly involved in 13 of Poland’s goals with him scoring 9 and assisting a further 4.
