Busquets hints at Real Madrid's strength before El Clasico
Busquets believes that Real Madrid can defeat the opponent without dominating the game.
Barcelona captain Sergio Busquets pointed out the strengths of Real Madrid before today's El Clasico match.
Real Madrid host Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu today and will be looking for revenge against the Blaugrana, who ended the last match with a 4-0 victory. Recent injuries in the Champions League have favored Real Madrid and Barça is facing many problems in its defense. However, Busquets pointed to Real Madrid's strengths and stressed that Barcelona will present their own game.
He added:
“In footballing terms, I think we will go out to play our game. Try to recover the ball as quickly as possible, to have possession. We want to play in their half and try to overwhelm them.”
“Madrid on the other hand, they don’t need so much possession of the ball, they don’t need to dominate much to create a lot danger. They are very strong in both areas and for me that’s the strongest area of their game, in every game practically.”
The two teams are in close competition for the top spot in La Liga. Currently, their points are equal, but Barcelona is at the top of the table because of the better goal difference.
