'There's no point crying' - Mourinho on Dybala injury

AS Roma star Paulo Dybala missed the Serie A clash against Atalanta at Stadio Olimpico after he was injured during the warm-up.

Roma

already has many injury problems and

Paulo Dybala

also pulled out of the game against Atalanta on Sunday after he suffered a thigh injury during the warm-up.

Nemanja Matic

replaced him in the starting line-up. Roma lost this game at Stadio Olimpico with one goal and now is in sixth place in the table.

Georginio Wijnaldum is out of action for a long time due to a tibia fracture and Stephan El Shaarawy also currently is not available. Rick Karsdorp is expected to be out of action for around six weeks due to a torn meniscus in his left knee.

Dybala who joined Roma on a free transfer has scored 4 goals for Mourinho's side this season.

Jose Mourinho ahead of the game told DAZN:

"The squad is in the best shape possible, We were fortunate really to play against 10 men for almost the whole game on Thursday [the 3-0 win over HJK], as that requires less intensity, pressing and running.

"It's tough, but this is football. With the transfer window closed, there's no point crying about it now.

"The season is made up of lots of little problems to deal with. The really big one was Wijnaldum, but Rick will be back in at most two months.”

The good news for Roma and Mourinho is that Nicolo Zaniolo has recovered from his shoulder injury and was in the starting line-up against Atalanta.

Mourinho added:

"Nico is in good shape, and he's a player really made to start games. He's different to the others."
