Wales manager signs new four-year deal with FAW

The Football Association of Wales have announced they will continue with Rob Page for another four years.

The Football Association of

Wales

has extended the contract of Rob Page for another four years as the head coach of the team.

The former defender, who played 41 games for Wales, took over as interim manager following Ryan Giggs' arrest in November 2022. In June 2022, when Giggs stepped down as Wales manager, Page's contract ran until the end of the World Cup. He was able to perform well in the World Cup qualifiers and led his team to Qatar with a 1-0 victory against Ukraine.

Wales has entered the tournament for the first time in 64 years and is in a group with

England

,

USA

and

Iran

.

"This is an exciting time for Welsh football and I hope we can make the country proud in November and continue our success by qualifying for more major tournaments in the future,"

FWA president Steve Williams said.

 "I am delighted that Rob and the FAW have agreed a four-year contract to take the Cymru men's national team to the next stage.

"The World Cup is the perfect opportunity to show Wales on the world stage and I am positive that Rob is the best person for the role, in Qatar and beyond."
