Chelsea vs RB Salzburg Champions League clash will go ahead

Chelsea have confirmed their Champions League clash with RB Salzburg will take place at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday as planned.

Chelsea

has confirmed that their Champions League game against

RB Salzburg

will happen as planned on Wednesday at Stamford Bridge. After the death of Queen Elizabeth II, games were put on hold while officials talked about what to do. There aren't enough police officers to watch all the games at once.

Thursday's Europa League game between Arsenal and PSV Eindhoven has been moved, but Chelsea has said that their UCL game will still happen. Their statement says, "We will play RB Salzburg in the Champions League on Wednesday night as planned."

"The decision was made after the death of

Queen Elizabeth II

and talks with the Metropolitan Police and

UEFA

. The game will still start at 8 pm." Chelsea's first Champions League game of the season ended in a 1-0 loss to

Dinamo Zagreb.

Thomas Tuchel was fired the next day, and Graham Potter took over as manager. This will be his first game in charge of the Blues on Tuesday.

The Premier League has also said that games will start this coming weekend again, but Chelsea will not be playing. The Blues were supposed to play Liverpool at home, but the game has been canceled along with Manchester United vs. Leeds and Brighton vs. Crystal Palace. The Brighton vs. Crystal Palace game had already been canceled because of a rail strike.
