Altintop throws himself to the ground as bullets hit the TFF building

Gunshots were fired at the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) building in Istanbul amid an armed attack on Thursday night.

When shots were fired, a board of directors meeting was going on.

Suleyman Soylu

, in charge of the interior, says that 11 shots were fired, and five of them hit the building. In a statement, the governing body said that no one was hurt and that the people who did it had been caught.

Hamit Altintop

, a famous person from Turkey and a member of the TFF board, was at the meeting when the attack happened and had to throw himself to the floor. He said, "We fell to the ground as soon as we heard the gunshots. The other people on the board thought I had been hurt. We were lucky. I hope that the attackers are caught quickly."

Soylu, the minister of the interior, said there were two suspects who were both "drunk." He also said, "God kept us safe. We were very close to the bullets."

As the TFF announced that the culprits had been caught, it is likely that they will be charged for the crime. The governing body said, "We have no doubt that the Turkish justice system will give those responsible for the incident the punishment they deserve."
