James Rodriguez would “walk on foot” from Qatar to join Valencia

Just a month after he joined Al-Rayyan, the Columbian is eager to do anything he can to seal a move to Valencia, who are reportedly interested in signing the former Real Madrid star.

Being linked with a move to

Valencia

, the

Columbia

international expressed how eager he is to link up with the Los Che’s new signing

Edinson Cavani

. Cavani joined Valencia as a free agent after his contract with

Manchester United

expired.

The 31-year-old attacking midfielder told

El Chiringuito

on Twitch:

"If it were up to me, I would go there [Valencia] on foot. But if I went on foot I would arrive late because then the transfer market closes.

"Seriously, it's a great club with a good fan base and now Cavani has arrived too. If they want someone to assist Cavani, I'm there."

James Rodriguez

joined Al-Rayyan from

Everton

last September on a contract until June 2024. He so far has recorded 5 goals and 7 assists in 15 games in the

Middle East.

However, the Colombian star is planning to leave Qatar and

Al Rayyan

club just one month after signing for the club. Rejecting Botafogo's offer, it was announced that he plans to return to Europe with

Roma

emerging as a possible destination.

Rodriguez left

Real Madrid

as a free agent in the summer of 2021 and joined Everton, and then left England for Qatar last summer.
