Inter Milan: Alexis Sanchez's contract terminated

Inter have released Alexis Sanchez ahead of his move to Marseille.

90min said earlier this summer that the

Nerazzurri

wanted to get rid of Sanchez's high wages so they could sign free agent

Paulo Dybala

. But they couldn't do it in time, so the Argentine forward signed with

Roma

instead.

With the start of the new Serie A season, Inter announced Monday that they have reached a deal with

Alexis Sanchez

to end his contract.

"FC Internazionale Milano has reached an agreement with Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez to end his contract on good terms," a statement said. "The Club would like to thank Alexis for his three years with the Nerazzurri, which ended with him winning three trophies, and wishes him the best for the rest of his career." Sanchez joined Inter on loan for the 2019–20 season after he fell out of favor at Manchester United. In the summer after that, he made a move permanent for free.

He was on

Antonio Conte

's team that won the 2020/21 Serie A title and broke Juventus' grip on Italy. Sanchez played for Inter and scored 20 goals in 109 games. He is now going to sign for Marseille.
