Milan star Sandro Tonali coud be out for a month

Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali could be out of action for a few weeks due to an injury during a friendly match.

defeated Vicenza 6-1 in a friendly match on Saturday. The bad news for Stefano Pioli's side is that

Sandro Tonali

and Junior Messias both sustained injuries in this match.

Sportitalia reports that Tonali injury is a flexor issue but Milan is waiting for test results to see extent of his injury. The initial diagnosis of Messias injury is a sprained right ankle.

There is a possibility Tonali could be out of action for a month and therefore will miss the Derby against

Inter

.

Milan begins the Serie A season on August 13 against Udinese at San Siro on August 13. After that, they will play with Atalanta, Bologna, Sassuolo, and then Inter on September 3.

Milan has signed Club Brugge's attacking midfielder Charles De Ketelaere this summer. De Ketelaere scored 18 goals and provided 10 assists for Brugge last season. The Serie A champions also signed Liverpool striker Divock Origi on a free transfer.

The 21-year-old Yacine Adli who joined Milan from Bordeaux in 2021 but spent last season at Bordeaux on a loan deal also has returned to San Siro.
