No contacts with PSG for Renato Sanches, says Lille president Letang

Renato Sanches has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but Lille's president says there has been no contact.

Oliver Letang

, the president of

Lille

, has said that there have been no talks with

Paris Saint-Germain

about

Renato Sanches

. The Portugal international, who is 24 years old and about to enter the last year of his contract, has been linked to a move to the French capital.

Reports say that Sanches is close to moving to Paris, which is expected to hire Christophe Galtier as Mauricio Pochettino's replacement. The midfielder is said to have arrived in the city on Thursday to finalize a move. But Letang shot down those rumors by extending an olive branch to other clubs interested in him and confirming an offer from an unnamed team.

Milan

looked like the team most likely to sign Sanches for a long time. They were also interested in his teammate at Lille, Sven Botman, but the defender went to Newcastle United instead.

"There are some players who can leave and some who can't. We want to keep a competitive team, but we don't want to name them today "After Lille hired

Paulo Fonseca

as their new coach, Letang told a press conference what he thought about the move.

"Renato is one of the boys whose contract has another year to go. Renato could have or should have gone to Barcelona before he hurt his knee last summer.

"We haven't heard from PSG as of today. We have heard a lot of rumors about offers, but PSG hasn't made us one. Other clubs are also interested, and one big club in Europe has already made us an offer. This is what's going on with Renato."
