Bastoni staying at Inter, Inzaghi signing new deal, says agent

Alessandro Bastoni's agent has confirmed he will stay at Inter next season.

The Italy international defender has been strongly linked with Chelsea and

Tottenham

and at one stage he was close to joining his former manager Antonio Conte at Tottenham but now according to his agent, he will stay at San Siro. Inter currently is negotiating with PSG about selling another center-back Milan Skriniar.

"Bastoni is currently on vacation,"

Tinti told reporters.

"He is staying at Inter 100 percent. We respect our contracts and are happy to discuss an extension when Inter calls us.”

Inter

signed

Bastoni

for £31m from Atalanta in 2017. He played in 33 Serie A appearances in 2020/21 and played a key role in Inter’s winning the title under Conte. He also played in 31 Serie A games last season and won the Coppa Italia.

Tullio Tinti who also is the agent of Inter manager Simone Inzaghi confirmed he will sign a new contract with Inter.

The 46-year-old Inzaghi replaced Antonio Conte last summer and in his first season on the Inter's bench guided them to Supercoppa Italiana and Coppa Italy trophy. Inter finished second in the Serie A with two points behind Milan.
