Bulgaria’s Nedelev underwent brain surgery after bus accident

The Bulgaria midfielder goes under the knife for brain injury after his team bus accident.

needed to undergo surgery. The midfielder sustained a harsh injury in the accident in Georgia and had to go under the knife for his brain injury.

The national team was going to their hotel when they had an accident before their Nations League game against Georgia on Sunday.

The Bulgaria player, who features for Botev Plovdiv and played for Bundesliga side Mainz before, was taken to a local hospital and had to go under a lot of tests.

According to Bulgarian Football Union (BFS), the 29-year-old sustained "a craniocerebral trauma" and needed surgery, which went successfully.

The BFS also said that the other players and people on the bus are fine and in good health.
