Rabiot believes Juve fans haven't seen 'the real version' of him

The French midfielder has not been the first choice of his coaches in the last three seasons.

Juventus

midfielder

Adrien Rabiot

believes that Juventus fans have not seen the real version of him and also regrets the process that went on the current season and Juve were panned out from the Serie A title.

Rabiot joined Juventus from

Paris Saint-Germain

in 2019 as a free agent and has played 126 games for the team during this period. The 27-year-old midfielder has scored a total of 6 goals and 6 assists, which is a very poor statistic for his three seasons at the Allianz Stadium. He is under pressure from critics and fans want the club to sell him, but Rabiot believes that Max Allegri has gradually been able to get the best out of him.

"Perhaps you’ve never seen the real Rabiot; maybe I’ve lacked consistency.

"I always give my best on the pitch, but it’s difficult to keep the same level in every game. The one against Inter and the most recent matches have been of a high level, but it’s tough to repeat them week in and week out.

"I’ve improved under Allegri. He wants to win and develop players. He motivates me and it’s nice to have a coach who challenges you. I used to play as a No.10 when I was younger. Now, I like to play deep in midfield. I am a No.6 or No.8."

Asked about Serie A title race, the french said:  "It would have changed everything [if we'd beaten Inter]. Our approach would have been different and the same goes for the opposing teams. Milan and Inter would have had more pressure. It’s never easy to play knowing that Juventus are behind.

"I am looking forward to playing the Coppa Italia Final because the last Serie A game made me irritable, same for the Supercup. We deserved to win both games and we want to take our revenge."
