City advanced to the quarterfinals after a tense match at the Wanda Metropolitano concluded in a 0-0 draw, with the Premier League champions progressing 1-0 on aggregate. The game concluded in spectacular fashion, with Atleti relegated to ten men and both sides engaging in a massive on-pitch melee.

Pep Guardiola's team, on the other hand, held their cool and sailed through more than 10 minutes of extra time to book their place in the semi-finals against Real Madrid later this month. However, just after the final whistle, Atletico Madrid defender Stefan Savic is accused of chasing Jack Grealish as he sought to walk up the tunnel, forcing many police officials to intervene.

"As the players exited the tunnel, Jack Grealish was walking down the tunnel when Stefan Savic came up with him, and there was a ruckus right at the tunnel's opening." "Darren Fletcher, a BT Sport announcer, explained. "Many people rushed into the area at that point, and the two players, Savic and Grealish, vanished from my vision. Four police officers arrived at that location very quickly after that, and there was quite a ruckus down there.

"I couldn't tell you exactly what happened inside the tunnel because I couldn't see it, but Stefan Savic was involved again, and Jack Grealish, the Man City player, was attempting to leave the field, but it was another unsavory situation here, and very symptomatic of what we've seen in the last 15 minutes."
