Maddison felt a bit faint against Randers - Leicester boss Rodgers

The Leicester boss has admitted that James Maddison felt faint after coming out of Thursday’s thumping 4-1 Europa Conference League victory over Randers.

James Maddison

climbed off the bench in the battle against

Randers

but had to be brought out soon after the hour mark as

Leicester

was 3-1 up. He was on the pitch for only 19 minutes, with physios checking his pulse before taking him down the tunnel.

Brendan Rodgers

confirmed after the match that the England international feels alright and told what went on.

"

I’ve spoken to him and he felt a bit funny in the game, so we didn’t want to take any risks with that,"

Rodgers said.

"We just took him off and he went to see the doctors.

"He just felt unwell, so we took him off. [Checking his pulse is] something they will do. He was sat up (when Rodgers spoke to him). He felt a little bit faint but he was okay."

Leicester finished the match with only ten men since Caglar Soyuncu landed awkwardly from a header.

"Cags hurt his knee,"

Rodgers said.

"So, we will see how that is tomorrow."

Wilfred Ndidi, Harvey Barnes, Patson Daka and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall found the back of the net for Leicester, helping their side get one foot in the quarter final of the Conference League. It also means thar key players can rest in the return leg next Thursday.
