Brandt: My time in the Germany national team is not over yet

Julian Brandt, an attacking midfielder for Borussia Dortmund, is keen to get back into the Germany national squad.

Brandt hasn't represented Germany since November 2020, and the 25-year-old acknowledges his exclusion has been difficult to bear. Nonetheless, he is determined on returning to

Die Mannschaft.

"I don't think my time in the national team is over yet. It was an annoying setback, but I won't let that drag me down," said Brandt.

He continued:

"The year I wasn't there wasn't nice. It's a change, and you have to swallow that first.

"I have to fight my way back. You have to give everything during the international games because so many young players are coming up. It's unbelievable."

This season, Brandt has started every game for Dortmund, netting five goals and assisting on eight occasions in 24 appearances.
