Howe wants Ekitike before Watford clash

Newcastle boss wants his side to complete the French talent’s move sooner.

Newcastle

is almost certain that they can sign Reims’ French striker

Hugo Ekitike

, and they are planning to complete the move after having another meeting with the French side on Wednesday as their manager

Eddie Howe

is eager to have the striker’s move finalized before their Premier League clash against

Watford

because he knows the importance of that match as both sides are fighting to be away from the relegation zone at the end of the season and with Wilson’s injury it would be hard for Howe to threat any opposition.

Although it seems like it's only a matter of time before the 19-year-old becomes a part of Newcastle’s squad, they won’t stop after this, and the project is not over as they are looking to improve their squad to have a bigger chance for staying in England’s first tier.

So far, they have signed

Kieran Trippier

, and the 19-year-old French striker will be with them soon, but they are looking to add a center half and at least two forwards, and for the defensive line, they have

Diego Carlos

in mind, and for their front line, they will add

Chris Wood

after his medicals on Wednesday.
