Marco Verratti

after the 1-1 draw with

Lyon

, calling him the best player of the match.

Last night, PSG played against Lyon in Groupama Stadium and finally suffered a 1-1 draw and gained one point from the game. Locas Paqueta initially scored for Lyon and put his side ahead, but Thilo Kehrer scored the equalizer for PSG with 14 minutes left in the game. Verratti was on the field for 90 minutes and after the game, Pochettino praised his performance.

“Today Marco was among the best players on the pitch, if not the best one.

“He began the game as a No.8, then he moved ahead, playing as a No.10 and finished the game playing in front of the defence.

“He changed three roles during the match. Circumstances during a game can be unpredictable and we’ve been asking different things to Marco lately.”

The 29-year-old midfielder scored 9 goals in 360 games for his team. He has also played 48 games for the Italian national team.
