Spalletti believes Spartak are not a serious club

The Napoli boss kept his bitter row with Spartak Moscow. ‘There are some professional clubs in Russia, and then there’s them.’

After the first leg clash in the

Europa League

group stage between

Napoli

and

Spartak Moscow

, there has been tension but it spilled out after their 2-1 result on Thursday.

Spalletti did not shake hands with coach Rui Vitoria and the Spartak social media team insulted the club and the coach.

The course of events did not surprise Spalletti as he has won silverware for Zenit St Petersburg in Russia.

I spent time in Russia, there are people there who are really professional and behave well,”

said Spalletti during his press conference.

“There are some professional clubs who know how to be in European football, then there’s Spartak who feel they can do anything they want. They are different to the others.

“If a coach doesn’t shake my hand and welcome me to his stadium before the game, that is insulting. Yet everyone is blaming me.”
