Nedved reacts to criticism from Juventus shareholders
Pavel Nedved revealed that receiving criticism from the Bianconeri shareholders is hurtful and insisted that he is not the VP as he is Andrea Agnelli’s friend.
The ex-Ballon d’Or winner couldn’t control his temper during
Juventus’ 2-1 defeat at the hands of
Sassuoloon Wednesday.
Pavel Nedved
was angry as he left the stand and shouted at
Andrea Agnelli
, the Juve president, which was not his first overreaction to a Bianconeri loss.
When Juventus were eliminated from the Champions League in the clash against Porto last year, he reacted by kicking pitch side advertisement boards.
His behavior was questioned by the Bianconeri shareholders in a meeting at the Allianz Stadium.
“
It’s impossible to cover such a prestigious role just because I am a President’s friend,”
Nedved replied as quoted by
Calciomercato.it
.
“
The owners would not permit it. I feel a lot of responsibility, sometimes too much. I’ve received correct criticism, I haven’t always had exemplary behaviour,”
he continued.
“I will always give my all for this club. Hearing these words affects me, it hurts me, but it is my character. I will always cover my role with maximum commitment and responsibility.”
Juve are sitting seventh in the Serie A table, having gained 15 points from 10 matches.
They will face Hellas Verona on Sunday before locking horns with Zenit and Fiorentina.
