Diaz tests negative for COVID-19

The AC Milan midfielder is set to make his return after recovering from the virus.

missed three Milan games due to being infected with COVID-19. The Spaniard miss Rossoneri’s games against Hellas Verona, Porto, and Bologna, but he is set to return to his side’s squad after testing negative for the virus.

"AC Milan announces that Brahim Diaz has tested negative to the COVID-19 swab test."

the club announced on Tuesday.

Diaz is spending a loan spell from Real Madrid, where he struggled to get enough game time. The 22-year-old is enjoying great form under Stefano Pioli, scoring three goals and providing an assist in his seven league appearances this season.

Milan will face Torino in their next league match on Tuesday, hoping to leapfrog Inter at the top of the table by avoiding a defeat. Diaz is expected to be back in the Rossoneri lineup for their Serie A game against Roma on Sunday.
