Jair Bolsonaro couldn’t attend Santos vs Gremio match
Brazil president was not allowed to go to stadium for Santos’ match against Gremio.
Santos
faced
Gremio
on Sunday, and Brazil's president has claimed that he was not allowed to enter the stadium to watch the game due to his vaccination status. The president does not trust the immunization shots and has been seen in Sao Paulo without a mask in an area that having facial coverings were required.
And now he has questioned the rules that impose having vaccination card to attend a football game in Brazil claiming that is every citizen’s right to watch football games whether they are vaccinated or not.
"Why [should I have] a card, a vaccination passport?"
Bolsonaro said (via
Metropoles).
"I just wanted to watch the Santos match and I was told I had to be vaccinated, why? I have more antibodies than whoever took the vaccines."
Brazilian stadiums have recently started allowing fans to attend the games, but most of them have made several rules about vaccination and health measures, and Vila Belmiro is only open for the fans who have a complete vaccinal record for Covid-19 (single or double doses, depending on the manufacturer).
