Two Real Madrid stars sidelined for Celta Vigo clash

Gareth Bale and David Alaba will not be able to play for the Blancos in their upcoming match.

Real Madrid will play in Santiago Bernabeu for the first time in a year, facing

Celta Vigo

in a La Liga game. The Blancos will also experience their first home game of the season as all of their previous games have been played away from Madrid.

The Blancos will have to play without the services of two of their key players against Celta. According to

Diario AS

,

Gareth Bale

and

David Alaba

are set to miss the match due to injury.

Bale picked up an injury in the team’s last training session before the game, while Alaba has suffered a muscular overload. With Nacho Fernandez being expected to fill in for the injured Austrian, Eden Hazard could be called back to replace Bale in the squad.

Carlo Ancelotti might also struggle to pick a player for the number nine position. Having spent a busy international break, Karim Benzema is a doubt for the game. On the other hand, Luka Jovic might also not be ready to play a full game on Sunday. The Italian coach should also consider his side’s next match, which is set to be played against Inter on Wednesday.
