Barcelona and Nike having tension
Nike have been working with Barcelona from 1998, and ever since 2016, they have been without a contract, as per reports from Marca.
The pandemic’s arrival as well as the need for a new president to be elected at
Barcelona, matters got complicated.
According to

, Barca and
Nike
signed a new contract in 2016 until 2028, with the Blaugrana getting about €105m per season that may even reach €155m with variables.
They gave Nike a kit and access to right of association, use of the club brand as well as advertising and hospitality rights.
When it was time to formalize the deal, some problems have emerged, with Covid-19 further complicating the matters.
Joan Laporta
and Nike met this summer, but it has yet to come to fruition.
