Tottenham and Barcelona will keep chasing Atalanta’s Romero

keep following the player’s steps to sign him if the right opportunity comes up.

Fabrizio Romano, who works with Sky Sport Italia as a transfer expert, claims that despite their interest, the Premier League side would not be able to pay €55m, which is the Serie A side’s asking price, and they would get out of the race for signing him but Sportitalia’s pundit Gianluigi Longari who is the first person to reveal the interest in the player from Barcelona and Tottenham has insisted that none of the mentioned clubs intend to withdraw the war for the player.

Longari says that Barcelona’s initial offer involved a player exchange, which wasn’t desirable for Atalanta and was rejected, but they are preparing to make another offer that will be about a loan offer with an obligation to buy which allows them to spread the cost of the transfer considering their financial problems although Tottenham’s offer has reached €45m and their director Fabio Paratici seems to be considering raising the numbers if necessary.
