Romero’s move can spark Demiral and Locatelli’s

Should Tottenham sign with Juventus’ Cristian Romero, there could be a transfer merry-go-round, as Merih Demiral would go to Atalanta and Manuel Locatelli would join Juventus.

Reports claim that Tottenham will pen a contract with

Cristian Romero

as their offer is close to the demanding price of €55-60m.

As per reports from

La Gazzetta dello Sport

and

Tuttosport

, this can be the first domino effect in Serie A this summer.

Atalanta would need a successor for Romero and they are considering Juventus’

Merih Demiral

as a replacement. The Turkish is looking for more game time after playing only 24 games last season, with most of them being from the bench.

Juventus snapped up the 23-year-old in 2019 from Sassuolo on a €18m fee and they are receiving offers from the Premier league.

However, they may decide to cash in on him as the funds from Demiral’s move to Atalanta can be used for the Old Lady’s new offer to Sassuolo for

Manuel Locatelli

.

Sassuolo have not accepted the Bianconeri’s offer of a loan deal that included an option to buy for a total €30m; however, Locatelli is on top of their wish list and they are planning to make a new offer.

Despite Arsenal having already offered €40m plus bonuses, the Italian is keen on joining Juventus.
