Lazio close to signing with Mallorca youngster Romero

have reached an agreement and the 16-year-old is due to undergo his tests on Monday.

Since Romero is just 16 years old, his fee is minimal and he has yet to sign a professional contract.

The Argentina Under-15 and Under 17 player had his Liga debut in June 2020, when he was only 15 years and seven months, which is his only Primera Liga match. He featured in six games in Liga 2, meeting the target once.

He will pen a contract with Lazio that will keep him until June 2024. For the Biancocelesti, it is a success, although Romero is likely to play with their youth squad at first rather than with Maurizio Sarri’s team.
