new head coach, has talked about his new team, insisting that he is the right man for the job and that he will use the opportunity to bring success to the team.

“I am the right man in the right place at the right time,”

said Thiago Motta

It will be Motta’s second time working as a head coach, and his first experience was when he worked as Genoa’s manager for ten games, and the only experience he has other than that is working as PSG's youth team coach.

“I wanted to get back to coaching, but not necessarily in Italy. I was convinced by the directors, as we shared the same vision. I am convinced this was the right thing to do.

“Italiano played a very positive and attacking style of football in which he tried to take the initiative, as that is what represents the history of this club.

“It is an interesting challenge that I take on with great responsibility. We’ve talked the transfer strategy over, we agree on what is needed and are working to raise the bar.”

The former Italy international has signed a three-year deal with Spezia and intends to start a new project with the team insisting on making the supporters satisfied with the club’s performance in Italian football.

“I am here to bring something to the fans and I want them to know we are always working for what is best for the team and the club.”
