Barcelona to reduce debt with Valencia eyeing Braithwaite

The Blaugrana may be offered the chance to reduce their debt with Martin Braithwaite’s help.

Martin Braithwaite

has been playing for

Barcelona

since making a controversial move from Leganes in 2020. The Danish forward has three more years on his deal at Camp Nou.

According to

Marca

, however, Valencia are eyeing the 30-year-old since their new boss

Jose Bordalás

has long been a big fan of Braithwaite.

Reports claim that Bordalás was eyeing Braithwaite at Getafe, but Barca snatched him away before he could make a move.

Now, the Valencia manager is interested in the experienced forward as he plans to strengthen his squad at Mestalla.

Barcelona may be open to the idea as they plan to reduce their debt, which is more than €1billion and the Blaugrana are in need of departures before the next campaign starts. Braithwaite may have to be sacrificed despite not being a big earner at Camp Nou.

Transfermarket values him at €9million, but with his remarkable form at Euro 2020 with Denmark, his value may rise.
