Previously in an interview with GQ, Buffon said he would only play for Juventus and Parma in Italy, and according to
Sky Sports Italia, Parma is trying to convince the 2006 World Cup winner to help the club after they relegation from Serie A.
The newly appointed Parma manager, Enzo Maresca, was teammates with Buffon at Juventus and has a hard job to convince the Italian to join his boyhood club as he has offers from Olympiacos and Brazilian clubs.
