and that they have been close to signing Juventus’ attacking midfielder.
The reports suggest that the final agreements about the 30-year-old midfielder’s future will be reached in the next two or three days even though he still has one year left on his contract with the Old Lady.
The Brazilian midfielder was under so much pressure at Juventus, so he decided to return to his former club Bayern Munich on loan to regain his form, but it didn’t help him, and Bayern Munich have announced that a permanent contract is off the table, so Gremio seems to be Costa’s only option.
Gremio was the club that Douglas Costa started his career at the age of 11 before moving to Shakhtar Donetsk in 2010, and won 11 trophies in five years before receiving a convincing offer from Bayern Munich and starting to become a well-known star and win two Bundesliga titles in two years. So, now a return to his hometown could be an emotional step for him before ending his successful career.
