Real Madrid willing to host Liverpool in Spain despite travel ban

Real Madrid believes that they are able to welcome Liverpool in the Spanish capital for their Champions League quarter-final next month.

’s stadium, Santiago Bernabeu is still under construction and will not be prepared to host the game but the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium – the home of the team’s Castilla side – could hold the match.

Currently, traveling has been banned from the Spanish government on UK arrivals but that ban will expire on 30 March, with the first leg of the tie arranged to be held on 6 April.

On the one hand, It is possible that the ban will be extended but on the other hand, it will likely expire just to let teams from the UK arrive in Spain.

Both Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad had to start their "home" matches over Chelsea and Manchester United respectively out of Spain because of this travel ban.
