Damsgaard speaks about an Inter player being his idol
Mikkel Damsgaard is linked with a move to Inter Milan as he reveals that Eriksen is one of his idols.
, Danish international and current Sampdoria player says that
Christian Eriksenis his idol. Eriksen joined Inter last year but found it hard to fit himself in Antonio Conte’s squad however, he is getting more playing time now.
Although life has been hard for Eriksen in Italy, Damsgaard says that he is full of admiration for his 29-year-old teammate in
Denmark.
Speaking in an interview with Il Secolo XIX today, Damsgaard said:
“My idols are Eriksen and Kasper Schmeichel, who are doing great things in the national team.
“Many compare me to Michael Laudrup and for me this is a great honour.”
The 20-year-old player is linked with a move to top clubs as he is considered a high potential player. He doesn’t rule out a move out of Sampdoria and the possibility of joining his idol in Inter.
“You never know and in football everything depends on performance and everything changes quickly.”
