"We must be more ruthless" Arteta disappointed with Arsenal tie

Mikel Arteta believes Arsenal should have won the 1-1 Europa League draw against Benfica on Wednesday.

Arsenal

provided only two shots on target in the match in Rome.

Arsenal coach was satisfied with the way his players threatened Benfica and says they should have won the game.

"We were very dominant and created some big chances. We have to be more ruthless,"

Arteta

announced to BT Sport.

"It was disappointing the way we conceded the goal. We gave them the ball then it was 1-1 and all to play for.

"We conceded a corner then from the corner we did not react quick enough and conceded the penalty. Looking at it it's difficult to judge. We had a great reaction and scored a great goal.

"We tried to maintain the level. Both teams dropped in the last 20 minutes. But overall we should leave the ground with more."

Arteta hopes for a key improvement when his team has a Premier League match, to host leaders Manchester City on Sunday

They need to be way more focused than they were against Benfica in order to secure three points against Man City, that have won their last 17 matches.

Arteta

's team are standing 10th in the table with winning two of their last four games in the English top-flight.
