Carvajal name adds to Real Madrid injury list besides Ramos & Hazard
Real Madrid has put it out that Dani Carvajal has picked up a thigh issue in the 2-0 victory against Valencia.
The Blancos full-back played no more than 28 minutes against Los Che at Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday before the incident.
He was substituted by Lucas Vazquez. Real Madrid secured a victory but added another player to their growing injury list.
Madrid have published an update on their official website:
“Following tests carried out on our player, Dani Carvajal, by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in his right thigh affecting the tendon.
“His recovery will continue to be assessed.”
"Now, it's time to deal with this latest setback and to start a new countdown to be able to return and have these special feelings,”
Carvajal
says and wishes to come back stronger.
"I just want to communicate one message: I will come back better and stronger than ever.”
The Madrid boss, Zidane announced:
“I'm sorry for Carva. He played 25 minutes very well and I'm upset because he's very important to us.
“But I can't explain the reasoning [behind the injury problems] to you. As a coach, having injuries is the worst. They've come back to hurt us again.
“I only hope that [Carvajal's injury] is a small one. We'll see what the injury is and for how long he'll be out for.”
The expectation is that he will miss at least a month, including an important run of matches.
