Bayern is looking to sign Upamecano
Upamecano’s agents are negotiating with Bayer Munich.
The club revealed that they had negotiated with the Player’s representatives after Bild claimed that they have seen Upamecano’s representatives (Sascha Breese and Volker Struth) entering underground car park of Bayern Munich's offices.
Bayern Munich’s CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has also talked about the club’s interest in the player he said:
"Of course we will take it up, not only with respect to this personnel matter, but also essentially at any positions we want and have to do something.
“The player will be in Leipzig at least until the end of the season.”
Bayern Munich is not the only club interested in RB Leipzig’s defender, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea are some of the clubs that are hunting Upamecano, but Bayern Munich seems to have the lead in the player’s chase.
“Of course we are thinking about him,”
Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic told Sky Germany.
“We had a good meeting with his agents yesterday. Let’s see what happens.”
Upamecano has a contract with Leipzig until 2023 which means, Bayern Munich has to make the transfer happen as soon as possible or risk losing him by waiting for the last year of his contract.
