Manchester United face transfer battle with PSG for Romain Faivre

Manchester United and Paris-Saint Germain are reportedly interested in Brest’s surprise star Romain Faivre.

Romain Faivre

’s move from

Monaco

to

Brest

last summer drew little attention, but now a whole host of clubs are taking an interest in the player.

His performances for Brest have caught the eye of some major suitors, including French champions

PSG

and Premier League giants

Manchester United

.

Faivre had come through the ranks at FC Tours before joining AS Monaco in the summer of 2017. The midfielder spent the majority of his time at the club with the B team, managing just first-team appearances, in which he managed a solitary assist.

The 22-year-old has been one of the surprises of the Ligue 1 season following his £450,000 move from Monaco last summer but has seen his value spiral over the last few months.

In 19 appearances for Brest, he has notched four goals and three assists.

Brest have already moved to keep Faivre from interested parties, extending his contract to 2025.

New PSG boss

Mauricio Pochettino

was able to cast his eyes over Faivre on Saturday night as the midfielder played 90 minutes in Brest’s 3-0 defeat at the Parc des Princes.

The Ecuadorian midfielder is being monitored by a host of Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, West Ham United, and Brighton.
