Wolves terminate Cutrone’s loan deal at Fiorentina
The club has announced recalling Patrick Cutrone to Molineux in order to cover the absence of Raul Jimenez, who is sidelined due to a fractured skull injury.
The
Wolves
have been struggling in
Jimenez’s
absence as they have only won one of their last seven fixtures, the Mexican scored four goals during his 10 Premier League matches before his injury. The club hopes the return of the Italian striker would reduce the impact of the 29-year-old’s absence. The striker will be available for the game against
Crystal Palace
in the FA Cup third round on Friday night.
Cutrone
signed for
Wolves
in the summer of 2019 from
AC Milan
for a reported
£16million
fee, scored twice in 12 Premier League appearances for the club.
The 23-year-old striker joined
Fiorentina
last January on loan with an option to buy and went on to make 34 appearances across the two half-seasons, mostly as a substitute, scoring four goals.
