Potter names Brighton's keeper in next match

Robert Sanchez has convinced Graham Potter to play him again in the next against Sheffield United.

Mat Ryan

was out for

Brighton

’s match against Fulham due to tactical reasons. and

Robert Sanchez

had to replace him in the goal. He absolutely nailed as he was without a doubt Brighton’s best player against Fulham. Graham Potter, Brighton’s boss has confirmed that Sanchez will also play against Sheffield United.

In an interview with BBC Sport after the game, that involved Adam Lallana's goal being ruled out for handball in the build-up, Potter said:

"I thought he [Sanchez] brought his quality to the game, he made important saves, he kicked long, used his feet well, mixed it up well and he has huge potential.

"He has all the attributes to be a top goalkeeper. He is young and ambitious.

"We want to help him fulfill his huge talent. You saw his quality today."

Sanchez spent the last season on loan in Rochdale. Potter was asked if the 23 years old goalkeeper will keep his spot in the next match. That next game is at home to the Premier League's basement side Sheffield United on Sunday.

Potter said:

"We needed our goalkeeper as well and Rob [Sanchez] made a couple of good saves as well."

He added:

"We made the decision to go with Rob. Rob has got some incredible attributes that we wanted to use. Huge potential.

"It is our job to fulfill that and Jason Steele has his job of being the number two keeper, he does that role really well. So that was the decision for the game."
