Roma's Spinazzola: 'Inter failed transfer has motivated me'

Leonardo Spinazzola says his abortive transfer to Inter in the last January 'motivated' him, however, cautions his comrades: 'The season is very long.'

AS Roma

slammed

Bologna

at the Stadio Dall'Ara with a 5-1 triumph on Sunday.

"We played very well in the first half, in the second we relaxed and we didn’t want to do it,” Spinazzola told Sky Sport.

"I started to grow since last November and I hope to continue to be ready for the European championship,” he added.

Spinazzola might have joined

Inter

in January however in the end the deal of swapping him with Matteo Politano failed.

“I’ve already said in some interviews that that failed transfer has motivated me. I’ve changed many things since then.

“I’ve changed my dentist, I do exercise every day, I do muscle reinforcement, I’ve changed everting, sometimes I am not tired after games, after 90 minutes I can still go ahead.”

What is Roma's objective this season?

“We know we are a great team, we know our system and whoever enters the pitch plays well. We’ll have to battle it out against big clubs, we are not going to give up, the season is very long.”
