Luke Freeman injury update

Nottingham could miss their player up to the new year following his hernia operation.

Sheffield United

loanee and current

Nottingham Forest

midfielder,

Luke Freeman

, has not been featured in the Reds games since last month and according to the new reports, the player won’t make a return until the new year.

Sky Sports

reported that Freeman is

“expected to be out for between three and four weeks after a successful hernia operation”.

“The midfielder has been to Germany to correct the problem, which has kept him out of the last six Championship games, including Saturday's loss to Brentford,”

they added.

Since his move to Nottingham, Freeman has made 10 appearances and scored one goal in the Championship.

The team’s coach,

Chris Hughton

, recently talked about the player’s injury saying:

“We’re not quite sure how long Luke will be.”

“It’s a groin problem that he’s got at the moment, which we are still assessing.”

“We’re hoping it’s not as bad as it could be, but certainly he will be out for a period of weeks.”

“But we’re hoping it won’t be too much longer than that.”
