Filippo Inzaghi was content with his side’s performance after the 1-0 defeat to Sassuolo and he believed Benevento ‘deserved to win’

created several chances in front of Neroverdi's goal but they were unable to score the equalizer.
“I’m still satisfied with the performance of my team,” Inzaghi said at a press conference. “We gave everything we could and lost undeservedly.
“They punished us on the only cross they made and we’re sorry, but it was an excellent Benevento. 30 attempts, 10 shots on goal, a crossbar, two miracles by the goalkeeper.
“What do you want to say to these guys? Even in 11 against 11, against a very strong opponent, we held the pitch well.”
Benevento have collected 11 points out of 11 games in Serie A and are just five points clear of relegation before the other games this weekend.
