Vieira dismissed as Nice coach

Following their Europa League exit, former France international was sacked from his position as Nice manager.

Ligue 1 manager and

Nice

head coach,

Patrick Vieira

, was sacked following their

Europa League

failure.

The team released a statement on Friday saying:

"Having arrived at OGC Nice in the summer of 2018, Patrick Vieira is no longer the coach of OGC Nice as of today.”

"In an interview after last night’s meeting, the Nice board informed Patrick Vieira of their decision to end their collaboration."

The French club will lead their way with

Adrien Ursea

now that they are without their former coach. The 44-year-old, who was criticized for Nice playing style, left the team after two and a half year of management.

In his time as a player, Vieira was one of the world’s most prominent players and though he had a good time coaching the team in the past a few years he failed to continue his success with the club.
