Bayern’s display won’t win a ‘beauty award,’ - Flick

According to coach Hansi Flick, the Bavarian’s performance is not at its best.

Bayern Munich

are

Bundesliga

titleholder, but the coach does not believe his team’s demonstration is suited for that and jokes about their current form not winning them a ‘beauty award.’

Bayern became the leader on the table after their tie with Werder last Saturday and their 3-1 victory over

Stuttgart

.

During the first 20 minutes in the game, Stuttgart took the lead through Tanguy Coulibaly. However, Bayern got back on track to gain 3 points through Kingsley Coman, Robert Lewandowski, and Douglas Costa. Notwithstanding the results that have put Bayern on top of the table with 2 points clear, Flick demands more of his team.

"

We all know that we are currently not getting a beauty award

," he said.

"

So, it was very important today that we found our way back into the game after falling behind and took the points back to Munich. But we also know that we can play a lot better

.

"

I know that the team is at the limit right now

."

Leon Gortezka

, Bayern midfielder, played a crucial role in his team’s victory with having the highest tallies in possessions and interceptions in Bayern’s history of players. The 25-year-old is compensating for Joshua Kimmich’s injury absence.

"

He is currently a player in midfield who is helping to compensate for Joshua Kimmich's absence,

" the Bayern boss added.

"

He is loud and takes the team with him. These are the things I like. He is currently in the process of showing his leadership qualities again and again in the game

."
