Mourinho: we need levy’s support on transfer window next summer
Mourinho was pleased with the club's performance in the summer transfer window and would like it to be continued
Jose Mourinho
informed
Daniel Levy
that
Spurssquad still need changes in the transfer market next summer.
In the most recent transfer window, Tottenham have done quite a job, with returning
Gareth Balefrom
Real Madridon a season-long loan and recruiting some other players like
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg,
Matt Doherty,
Carlos Vinicius,
Joe Hartand
Sergio Reguilon.
Mourinho was pleased with the support he received from
Spurs’ chairman, Daniel Levy
but he believes that Tottenham squad still need some changes in order to be able to take on serious challenges.
"More than the squad, it is time to work and time for evolution,”
Mourinho said.
"It is time to affect the team not just the way we play, but the way we think - sometimes the way we think takes more time than other things.
"I am very happy with the squad but, of course, next summer we will need to give a couple of touches but this is what you always do to improve the squad.
"Look at Liverpool, for example, when Jurgen has been there. How many transfer windows? He went to the market and improved the team.”
