Roma to seal Reynolds deal as Juventus pulls off the race
Roma’s chances for the American fullback have been boosted with Juventus deciding against matching Roma's bid.
The 19-year-old provided 3 assists during his 19 starts for
FC Dallas
this season, showing off his strong technical skills and abilities.
According to Goal, the Rome club is now leading the race for the American after offering
FC Dallas
a transfer fee of around
€8 million
, and the player a contract of around €800,000 per year. The player will be loaned to
Benevento
after signing for
Roma
as the club are not able to add another non-EU player to their squad.
Benevento’s
sporting director,
Pasquale Foggia
, had previously confirmed the club's interest, telling Sky Sport Italia:
"We’re negotiating to sign him [with Juventus as the next destination], but it’s not a done deal. We’re interested because Reynolds is a real talent."
Standing 6' 3",
Reynolds
started his career as a forward but eventually was turned to a right-back after being promoted to the first team.
